Flights to Kaliningrad: international and domestic

Kaliningrad region has one airport Khrabrovo and it under reconstruction for the FIFA World Cup now. Most of the flights are domestic. Popular destinations are Saint Petersburg and three different Moscow airports: Domodedovo, Sheremetyevo, Vnukovo.

Connection in those cities will be most popular option for those who will travel to see football matches for long distances.

Two more World Cup Host Cities have direct flights from Kaliningrad – to Yekaterinburg and Kazan. Second can be very useful for B2 team fans in June 2018.

Other Russian destinations are Novy Urengoy, Ufa, Cherepovec.

International Flights from Kaliningrad airport

2017 was memorable for good news about international flights: now we got new flights to Berlin (Germany), Warsaw (Poland), Prague (Czech). It’s a nice option for Deutschland and Polska fans to start their World Cup journey to Russia.

Also those European capitals makes numerous possible connections for other nations and continents. Check the prices and the schedule, to see if it’s cheaper than Moscow or St. Petersburg connection.

A new flight is introduced for summer 2018: KaliningradRiga (Latvia).  More connections including Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan, Sochi!

There is a flight to Minsk as well. And as I understand you can make transit to Russia without Belarus visa, but double check that with the airline customer support first.

And Tashkent flight can be useful for AFC, OFC football nations.

Closest Airports : Gdansk, Kaunas, Vilnius, Palanga

One more option that is popular – cheaper flights to nearby airports in Poland and Lithuania. There are many flights, including low-cost like Wizzair and Ryanair. Different international buses and trains that can take you from there to Kaliningrad, Russia in 4-8 hours. Hard to find online, but they are real.
