SKM Train: Gdansk Airport – Central Station

SKM is a railway transportation system in Poland’s Tricity area (Gdańsk, Sopot and Gdynia). It’s a new route, I’ve never tried it by myself, but it looks very interesting.

Travel time ~ 40 min.

N3 Night Bus: Gdansk Airport – Central Station

It happens so that some planes arrive late, but you are still able to get out from the Airport without expensive TAXI services.

N3 bus schedule: 23:17, 0:08, 1:17, 2:17 ,3:08, 4:08. It’s 1 hour and 10 ride, so you can try to check for faster connections.

Finally, going to Kaliningrad

Now you know the way from the Airport to the Gdansk City Center. You will find on this map White Star – the bus stop from the Airport. It’s quite obvious where SKM train stop is.

All you need is to find the right bus from Gdansk to Kaliningrad.

The latest buses to Russia are 19:00 daily and 21:00 for weekends. If you arrive late (or just planning to spend some time in Old City) you can book a hostel, hotel or apartments close to the Gdansk center and then take a morning bus. In this case you will be in Kaliningrad at 09:30.

  1. Hi!

I wonder if it goes to Gdansk to Kaliningrad on June 16, 2018 and from Kaliningrad to Gdansk on Sunday, June 17, 2018. How do you pay for tickets?

  2. I’ll be staying in Gdansk for the World Cup match in Kaliningrad on June 16th at 8pm local time.

Whats the easiest way to get to Kaliningrad by 6pm and return the next day June 17th?

The buses leave too late to make the 8pm match on the 16th.

  3. Could somebody tell me where to get the bus ticket for the nightbus N3?
How much it will cost? Can I pay it with my debit card (MasterCard) or only cash?

    1. As I remember, the driver can sell tickets for some extra fee. And some ticket selling machines should be available along with ATM.

You can try to contact Gdansk Airport hor assistance. Appreciate if you share their reply.

  4. How long do buses travel from Gdansk to Kaliningrad? I see that it can depend on the delays at the border, what does it look like in practice?

    1. Usually, it`s on schedule. A special lane for buses. But sometimes there are delays due to traffic, road works or when one of the passengers have issues with their documents at the border.

If we are talking about the World Cup – no idea how this should work. Completely different story. But the officials will do their best to speed up the process.

  5. Hi All

Please, take into account that the crossing of poland border may take longer as usual due to multiple fans
Please, take into account that You need normally one hour to get from south railway station (where bus arrives) to WM stadium
Please, take into account additional time to get into stadium and to print FAN ID

Please come earlier (let say at 14:00 on Kanliningrad South Railway Station ) to be sure

    1. A little bit too pessimistic. But the general idea is correct. Get to Kaliningrad as early as possible.
